Tokyo 17th,

We are stuck in Takayama, our next town is unreachable. The train service in that direction is stopped. There has been severe storms in the area. We buy tickets to Tokyo, we will arrive a couple of days earlier but miss our hike in the forest.

A ride on bus, train and subway later. We get at the hotel that one of my friends have booked for the next couple of days.

As we arrive late to Tokyo and we have no plans, we decide to go to Akihabara for a late walk.

I see the the disappointment expression of my friends, it is a shame that a hike in the mountains, a quite special and different experience, has to be cancelled. Japan natural disasters may happen at any time, until now we have been fortunate enough.
